Ok, on the question of image sizes. It would appear that to change the size on a lot of these early ones is going to require a rescan of the originals. They were scanned at lower resolution because they were being sent and took too much space.
Rescanning will take some time as the size in pixels goes up dramatically in gray scale for marginal increases in size. The color versions (yes there is a color version of both stories) are even more of a space hog.
I might have time next month to try and rescan but that's really an "at best" proposition as I'm backed up with stuff in my real world job, and with the Maya/Nuke modeling and rendering, and paid for stories that all have to take priority over what I give away for free. So drawings and displays of free work is, as I hope everyone can empathize with, on an "as time is available" basis.
Options, we can continue with what we have and then when it's practicable from a time perspective I'll add rescanning to the list of things I have promised to do, and scan in the color versions at a larger size. The other option is I can use the time I'm using now posting to start on the scanning and I'll restart when that task gets far enough along to have enough material to start posting again. I don't want to set up to do just one or two at a time, that is too much overhead.
What is the consensus? My suggestion is to go with what is available now and wait for the other later, but that's just me. I know the outcome of the stories!
The problem with me is, my schedule is so crazy getting time to get all this stuff done is beyond difficult so there's always the threat that I don't get to it when I think I will. I guess I must be an optimist as everything takes longer than what I claim it takes!
One problem with rescanning the Waterhole is the woman and bull fight for 51 panels before it ends, they go at it for A LONG time, so it's LOTS of scanning!
